Sarah Johnson receives NASA Grant

RESEARCH THAT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD

After having recently returned from Antarctica, Sarah Johnson is receiving a Grant from NASA to continue her pursuit of understanding biosignatures within planetary environments. NASA grants are awarded to encourage and facilitate researchers that are contributing to the field of aerospace. Another major aspect of the grant is to promote education of NASA to students, adults, and the scientific community. While in Antarctica, the Johnson Lab team collected genetic sequences from ancient deposits. In addition to this fieldwork, the team also heavily involved in planetary exploration and developing new missions. The grant will allow Johnson and her lab group to continue their research.
