The faculty of the Department of Biology have embraced the motto of Georgetown University, 'A Student-Centered Research University', by providing an environment rich in research experiences for both graduate and undergraduate students.
This is an exciting time for the sciences at Georgetown University. The Department of Biology is proud to announce a new major in Environmental Biology that will begin for students graduating in 2011. This exiting new major complements our other deparmental offerings which include majors in Biology, Neurobiology and the Biology of Global Health.
Finally, plans for a new science building are moving forward and some site prep work has been done; however, the down-turn in the economy has delayed the opening. There will be new classrooms and laboratories for teaching as well as cutting-edge research laboratories.
You can learn more about our fantastic faculty, their research, our undergraduate programs and graduate programs on these pages of our web site or by contacting us.
