People:

Deborah O'Donnell, Ph.D. student: Deb is currently investigating genetic factors underlying population variation in immune function and vector competence among populations of Aedes albopictus. {site under construction}

Jennifer Urbanski, Ph.D. student: Jen is studying the molecular basis of photoperiodic diapause in Aedes albopictus. {site under construction}

Amalia Aruda, undergraduate researcher: Amalia is collaborating with Jen on studies of the molecular basis of diapause in Aedes albopictus.

Philip Fujimoto, undergraduate researcher: Philip is examining components of immune function in Aedes albopictus.

Keith Summa, undergraduate researcher:  Keith isolated and characterized the period and timeless genes in Aedes albopictus.  He also measured the circadian expression pattern of both genes in diapausing and non-diapausing popualtions of Aedes albopictus.  Keith is currently enrolled in the MD/PhD program at Northwestern Univesity.

John Dzundza, undergraduate researcher: John examined the tissue specific expression of three Odorant Binding Protein (OBP)-like genes in Aedes albopictus.  John is currently enrolled in the MD program at Georgetown University.

Ryan Shay, undergraduate researcher: Ryan examined trade-offs between life-history and immune function traits in Aedes albopictus. Ryan is currently a research technician at The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR).
