Felicitations to our two new Figge Fellows!
Major congratulations are in order for Kenzie Knight and Jess Quiñones, two Biology of Global Health majors that were recently named Figge Fellows! Led by Dr. Drew Christiansen and Dr. David J. Collins from the Society of Jesuits, the Figge Fellowship Program supports the research of a cohort of seven undergrads as they investigate the intersection of religion and social issues. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Jess is a junior in the College who plans to study the impact of religious teachings on healthcare inequities. From Greenville, Indiana, Kenzie is also a junior in the College, and she will analyze the connection between health and the spirituality of patients through the lens of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, Kenzie and Jess will use the study of theology to better understand people and the way that they engage with their health and care. Congratulations to the two of you, and good luck with your incredible research! Read more about the program and our two fellows here:
