Katie Boone Receives Two-Year AART Grant to Study Memory Formation and Decay
The Department of Biology is pleased to announce that Katie Boone has been awarded the Aging and Alzheimer’s Research Training (AART) grant. This competitive award will support Katie’s innovative research over the next two years by providing dedicated stipend support and research funding.
Working under the mentorship of Dr. Isaac Cervantes-Sandoval, Katie investigates the circuit and molecular mechanisms that regulate memory formation and active memory decay. This award recognizes her outstanding academic achievements and provides critical support as she continues to advance our understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying memory.
Please join us in congratulating Katie on this well-deserved accomplishment and wishing her continued success as she embarks on this exciting new phase of her research.
