Congratulations to two of our graduate students on receiving an outstanding award!

Congratulations to two of our graduate students, Megan Wallen from Dr. Janet Mann’s lab and Elizabeth Steidler from Dr. Ronda Rolfes lab. Both Megan and Elizabeth received an Outstanding Graduate Student Award at the Graduate Award Ceremony on the evening of Friday, February 5, 2016.

The Outstanding Graduate Student Award is given to the Biology Graduate Student that has demonstrated excellence in each of the following areas:

(1) Most importantly, this award is given to graduate students based on outstanding research scholarship in the form of refereed publications, other publications (e.g., book chapters), and conference presentations. 
(2) Additionally, these students have been able to successfully support their research through awards, scholarships, fellowships, and grants.
(3) Students chosen for this award also have an excellent record of teaching accomplishments.
(4) Finally, students chosen for this award have been outstanding members of the community in the Department of Biology.

Congratulations again to Megan and Elizabeth!
