The Huang Lab receives two incredible grants to support their research!
Congratulations to the Huang Lab for receiving a Main Campus Pilot Research Grant to support their work! Led by Dr. Jeffrey Huang, the lab primarily studies glial cells, cells in the central nervous system that perform a wide range of support functions for neurons. The grant will fund their research of the molecular basis for senescence, the decay of cells with age. The lab was also awarded a major three-year CDMRP/DoD research grant! This incredible grant will fund studies into amino acid transport in remyelination, the process of restoring myelin sheaths on demyelinated axons in the central nervous system.
The Huang Lab’s research will provide incredible insight into the mechanisms that lead to neurodegeneration! Good luck with the experiments, and we can’t wait to see your results.
