Assistant Research Professor Maryna Baydyuk is working hard to raise support for Ukraine

he recent Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, forcing millions of Ukrainians to leave their country and threatening the safety and wellbeing of millions more. For our very own Maryna Baydyuk, an Assistant Research Professor in the Huang Lab, this crisis is personal. As President of the DC-based non-profit United Help Ukraine, Maryna has helped raise over $4 million in charitable aid for Ukrainians this week alone, funding medical supplies, protective equipment, humanitarian aid, and support for wounded Ukrainians. During an appearance on Fox News this week, Maryna explained how United Help Ukraine uses connections to hospitals, NGOs, and other local organizations to get aid directly to Ukrainians in need. She also outlines how Americans can support Ukrainians during the current crisis. To read more about United Help Ukraine, visit https://unitedhelpukraine.org/about-us
