Singer’s Lab Receives a Grant to Study The Immune Response to Giardia
Congratulations to Steven Singer and his lab for receiving a $465,000 grant from the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease to study the immune response to Giardia. The NIAID, part of the National Institutes of Health, supports research to get a better grasp of, treat, and prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. Giardia is a parasite that causes giardiasis, a disease that spreads through contaminated food or water or by person-to-person contact. It is most common in areas with poor sanitation and water.
Congrats, Prof. Singer!
