One-Credit Option

To enable students to have an opportunity to explore the interface between biological sciences and other disciplines, biology majors can apply 1 credit (maximum) towards the degree requirements for selected courses.

This course must be selected as a college (free) elective course and cannot meet department or college requirements for a major, a minor or general education. See your advisor to discuss additional details of this option.

To use this option, students must receive approval to apply the credit towards the major for the course under consideration prior to enrolling in the course. Approval is obtained from The Committee on Undergraduate Students and Studies by submitting the “One-Credit Option Form” to the Committee Chair. This option is being phased out and only applies to students graduating in 2018-2010.
